Adhesive cardstock from Silhouette America - balloon
Hemp cord from TJ Maxx (I've seen these at Michaels too)
Stamp from Stampin' Up! (Create a Cupcake set)
Basic black inkpad from Stampin' Up!

Rescued birthday card

Sometimes, you have an idea in your head that just does not translate as well on paper.  Okay, that happens so often.  This card for example:

In my mind, the "bonne fete" was going to share the attention with the bird.  Alas, the ink pad (nor the stamp itself) did not translate as well on the paper, and I was really unhappy with it.  So I went bold, and covered it up.

It's not as demure as I originally imagined it, but I like this much better than the original product.  Just FYI, "Bonne fete" means "Happy Birthday" in French Canadianism.  :)

dark chocolate cardstock from Gale's Warehouse (I think Paper Source has it also)
glue stick and dots adhesive 
(I used glue stick to cover all the skinny parts of the branch, but used the dots on some larger parts to ensure it is stuck permanently; sometimes glue stick comes undone)
